Who Can Apply?This scholarship is available to Seniors at South Pasadena (California) High School. The Scholarship is to reward and to honor each year an outstanding Senior who wants to create and to contribute in life. ----------------------- ----------------------- What Are the Qualifications?The Maggie Veir Art Scholarship is intended to help an outstanding teenager who shows passion and talents for the arts and compassion and action in Community Service. Some of the criteria for other awards -- such as high GPAs, sports achievements, and leadership roles -- are not the main focus for this one. Teacher recommendations help. Financial needs are considered. ----------------------- ----------------------- What Is the Procedure?Students apply for the Maggie Veir Art Scholarship in the same way they apply for other South Pasadena Alumni Scholarship Awards. Applications are available in the High School’s front office. The forms ask for information about the students’ wants, needs, plans, and accomplishments -- in the classroom and out. Finalists may be interviewed by the SPHAA committee and the Maggie Veir Art Scholarship Committee. ----------------------- ----------------------- |
